Relevant Docs: Special Dispensation Letter
Mr. Croker,
Pax Christi.
By mandate granted under seal of the Secretariat and pursuant to the discretionary authority vested in my office, this correspondence serves as formal confirmation of a special dispensation extended to you, effective immediately.
After due review and consultation within a strictly limited ecclesiastical circle, it has been determined that your continued efforts in the identification, acquisition, examination, and, where deemed spiritually hazardous, destruction of prohibited occult manuscripts are to be recognised as operating in service of the Holy See’s concealed custodial mandate.
Accordingly:
Financial provision shall be discreetly allocated through protected channels, sufficient to facilitate the sourcing, transport, and secure containment of identified texts and related artefacts.
Archival intelligence held within restricted Vatican repositories, including materials not catalogued within the public Index, will be made selectively available to you as required.
Logistical assistance may be rendered in matters requiring ecclesiastical authentication, historical verification, or sanctioned neutralisation procedures.
You are reminded that this authorisation exists outside ordinary Curial record. Its knowledge is confined to a minimal and trusted cadre. Among those aware of its existence is Daniel De Jager, whose involvement in related matters has been previously acknowledged. No further disclosure is permitted without direct sanction from this office.
This dispensation does not constitute endorsement of independent experimentation with recovered materials. All recovered works deemed spiritually malignant must either be transferred to approved custody or destroyed in accordance with the prescribed rites communicated previously.
May prudence guide your judgement and fortitude sustain your resolve. The preservation of souls often depends upon labours that history must never record.
In fide et silentio,
Monsignor Aurelio Vescari
